  • K&N Panel Air Filter

I put in a K&N filter on Friday night and must say I'm very happy with the results. It's the only real mod I've done to date. It has basically made accellerating smoother.
I'd been keen to hear how Eddy and Pomme got on with theirs.

Not trying to Hijack a thread, but i put a Pipercross panel (different brand, same effect) in, and opened up the inlet a little, and can hear the turbo spool up a little more.. as well as feeling a little more pickup through the Butt Dyno.

      Hoyhoy.
Me been slack, not in yet & I'll be busy for a while now.
I'll post again when its in. I'm not going to hurry it because I have to lift the strut brace & the Kw struts move on me.

                ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Before you do get the flash, ring Guy and order a new turbo inlet pipe and a new diverter valve.

                Then get it flashed

Diverter valve is similar to blow off valves used on other turbocharged cars.
Does not vent to atmosphere though.

These are mostly made of plastic and can leak, which in turn loses you power and can make the car act a little strange (coughing spluttering etc)

                      My brother has a Nissan S14 and a S15.
He did a couple little things to one of his cars, like turn up the boost and got a new airfilter. The standard bov started leaking boost badly.

The replacement units you can get are mostly made of metal, are sealed alot better and generally hold boost better.

Same thing goes for our cars, the dv is plastic and apparently is prone to failure.

Cheap insurance if your chasing more power
