Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

If you lust after it, yes.

But if you have any doubt would it not make more sense to try something new if you're going through the process of buying another car?

Very low k's for an '06, if it hasn't been thrashed for those last 20Ks and you're getting a good price I'd go for it.

Hell, even if it has been driven hard it should still be in good nick.

Would you leave a girl, have her head off for a while and play the field and then be happy to come back to her?

I say get a newer model.

Both have 2 doors, only fit 4 comfortably and are FWD, why on earth you would go for the Roc over a Polo + mods defies me

                  I love the analogy.

I'm with mikinoz here, get the newer model .. if that's what you want to do.

Just like babying a performance car is like dating a super hot lady and keeping your hands to yourself so everything is in order for the next boyfriend.

Doesn't the new one have an 18 month waiting period?

Can get 4 of these Polo's for 1 Roc .... besides I don't need it, want it as a toy only .....

Don't like the new GTI, when it comes in a manual then maybe, but I'd rather wait for the Polo R ..... (and then only in a manual)

In the meantime, this GTI would make a good toy .... likely mod it some more .....

Second time round, I think you would get over it pretty quickly. If you do get bored of it though; at least you can modify it to spruce things up!

Come back to the 9n3 club. You know what you had before, you know what you can do in terms of mods, etc .... have some fun

Agree about the new Polo and no manual - it's why I've still got mine.
