I might also add that my dad works in the machining industry (fitter and turner by trade). He was really impressed by the quality and finish of the forge bar, he was also shocked at how cheap it was, he said he couldn't make it so cheap.

I've just finished installing my Strut Brace and have done a short test run.
Very impressed, even at low rolling speeds, soft cornering, small bumps, the car feels much more planted.
Had fun getting it on, took me over an hour as the hole that fits over the towers was a little tight for the welding work. Was worried about stripping the screws or cross threading, so took my time.
I feel a lot more confidence putting the car into a corner, with the H&R springs and stock shocks and RSB, the Pog felt like it bounced around when cornering on anything but flat road, loosing traction and feeling unbalanced.
To me the proof was in a corner close by I know well which has a long line and lean in, its not hard to get the traction control kicking in. I pushed it more than enough to where the tc would try to control things, whilst the inside wheel began to loose grip, it did not upset the traction control or overall stability. The inside wheel did not bounce or upset the rest of the car.
This is a fantastic handling upgrade in combination with the rear sway. IMO a must for track work or when the suspension is being changed.
Will have to wait and see how it comes together once I get coil overs, new bushes and the front sway...Last edited by noone; 10-10-2009, 01:55 PM.

I bought mine from Awesome GTI with a few other bits. They are competitive in terms of freight, but if you get a few other bits at the same time, frieght is very reasonable.
It would be about 220, but more than 1/2 of that is freight that could be shared with other parts...

Jimmy, I too could be keen on the front strut brace to assist in freight costs. I'd want to check local pricing first.Last edited by seangti; 13-10-2009, 01:32 PM.Track Car: 06 Polo GTI Red Devil mkII

Flip the seats up and remove, undo the center seatbelt from the floor. On each side of the backrests, get a big flat-head and push the clips till you can pull the seat up. The middle can be difficult to get out, needs a bit of moving around.
I'm not sure how you remove the carpet from the ??? Take pictures though.
