I actually use a legit tyre workshop(good year usually). Admitting, it is NOT VW. However, they are registered mechanics who perform logbook services. My local dealership advised that it was AOK so long as the shop is licensed and it is a log book service.

Oil Change(including parts/labour) + Tire rotation, align, balance and rotate = $190.00 total.

It's not bad actually. I remember the days of those honda bas*ards changing me $400.00 for the same.

The 7,500km service is not really a service - they take the car for a drive, kick the tyres, check fluid levels and make sure nothing is falling apart. It's free where I go.
