    just thought that being a part which is supposed to strengthen the chassis it would be made of a strong material???

    However its a nice bit of eye candy for under the bonnet
    mate it does an awesome job strengthening the chassis, its not just eye candy. You guys with it already installed, what do you think.

    • Certainly made a very positive difference to the steering of my Pogo ... far more direct.

      • That seems like an unusual thing to do...

        Pretty sure strut braces are designed for rigidity between the struts...

        i.e.

        <------------------------- In this direction ------------------------->

        Just exactly would you try to bend a brand new strut brace in a direction it's not engineered to have to provide strength???

        The analogy is the same as an egg. While you could break the shell with a minimum of pressure on the sides, if you tried to break it by applying pressure end to end, it is damn near impossible. Something that is engineered correctly does not need to weigh a ton (how thin is an egg shell, and yet in the right direction it is stronger than you will ever be). Why would the company overengineer the brace unnecessarily?

        • I've had mine on for a week or so now and I love it. It somehow helps me with gaining traction through the front wheels, especially whist cornering. More solid feel through the steering wheel as well. Good mod IMO!

          • Fitted mine tonight.

            Takes 5-10 minutes, super easy.

            Dont know if its made any improvement to handling, but it has given steering a little more life and response

                              Yeah really, after about 2weeks. I gave it a bit of a workout, not much though & only found out because I had to ajust the knuckle to take it off to fit a K&N panel filter ( which is a top mod ). Anyway the thread inside the knuckle was all stripped, so it wasn't really working anymore. All fixed now, fully welded & polished up, as well as the base feet all rounded off, along with studs replacing the top strut bolts.

                                You're just too rough on your poor lil Pogo, Eddy. My strut brace is fine.
