I ordered the Forge Front Strut and got raped on shipping, lol. GBP 68.00 but by UPS which took I think 3 or 4 days. Hmm, let me see, split costs. You getting an intercooler? lol
Wont get the intercooler until summer hits, saving my pennies for an exhaust now.MY2008 VW Polo GTi / GIAC Tune / Forge FMIC / Forge 007 DV / N75 Race / BMC OTA / KW V1 Coilovers / Whiteline Front&Rear Swaybars + Toe-In Shim / Weichers Front&Rear Strut Braces / Full Non-Res Milltek Exhaust / 17" Bora Sport

Checked my email from APR USA and technical support confirmed its a Borg Warner OEM turbo used and not a hybrid typ used in their 1.8T transverse mount turbo upgrade kits. So assuming the same parts are used for both the USA and AUS kits (as due to the same part numbers used by APR), then its the BG KO4-001 turbo? Please correct if I'm wrong? Getting excited now.

I think the ones I've shown have shown a KKK K04 turbo. Hmm..

Ha Ha Ha...fair enough. I too have been ordering a bit of stuff recently and they're coming in dribs and drabs and neatly presented on the table and the upcoming trip to Queensland so wifey's gonna kill me for asking but I'll ask anyway (at least after being a good boy and done the washing, laundry, cleaning etc etc etc...)...LOL...

Forge Short Shifter will not work on the Polo GTI (this has been tried and tested)... Its to do with the shift cables...
I am looking at getting the Cupra front lip for my Polo from ECS, and maybe a Miltec dump pipe from England."If can't get behind your troops, feel free to stand in front of them..."

How much are the Miltek dump pipes from England? Trying to source one here but they are pretty expensive for such a short peice of pipe.MY2008 VW Polo GTi / GIAC Tune / Forge FMIC / Forge 007 DV / N75 Race / BMC OTA / KW V1 Coilovers / Whiteline Front&Rear Swaybars + Toe-In Shim / Weichers Front&Rear Strut Braces / Full Non-Res Milltek Exhaust / 17" Bora Sport

I think your estimates are close, but still off.
By the time you add a fpr, and the real cost of freight (I don't see you landing the turbo and manifold that cheap) I think with labor it's not going to be far off 3k.
I'd get the injectors and get it CC'd for a little more...

Man i think think i'm just going to go custom DP. Branded ones dont seem worth it ...

Though, I would say its always better to go local to have peace of mind should anything go wrong, but its never the car, its the owner, lol.
