Eibach coils
Almost had a heart attack when i read the title of this thread you bastard.
Seeing as two weeks ago i picked my eibachs up for 575.
On this topic, they are fantastic springs. drops the car a little bit, rides very comfortably and has more roll resistance through cornersGTI. Leather.

Eibach
To be quite honest the car rode pretty firmly as standard.
I dont think it has made it any more comfortable or uncomfortable than standard.
Pictures will come tommorow, washing car after work. then picturesGTI. Leather.

Is there any problems with lowering a polo and the shocks developing issues due to being lowered (e.g. early wear, "blowing out" etc...)
I do note the standard shocks are sachs so should be ok i am thinking... let me know cause i am keen to get some eibachs in

Yes there are problems involved in lowering the GTI.
When you lower the GTI the standard front swaybar knocks on the drive shafts over bumps. Which has marked the drive shafts and overtime could cause damage, plus its a VERY loud knocking noise.
So, if you want to lower the GTI you have to get a whiteline adjustable front swaybar because it has a different position setting which pulls the swaybar up which creates more clearance over the drive shafts.
Problem is changing the front swaybar is NOT an easy task.
To change it you have to undo and lower the whole front suspension subframe whilst you have engine supports (obviously this needs the use of a hoist)
Then you will need an alignment. So the true cost of lowering is probably $1200 including fitting.GTI. Leather.
