Ok so i got a reply.

My Polo is a 2007 though MY2008, so ive been told to get these:

    VW Shifter Bushing Set - Mk5 5S MY08-09

the 5S and 6S just means 5 or 6 speed gearbox.

I'm assuming that if your car is MY06 or MY07 then you would get these:

    VW Shifter Bushing Set - Mk5 5S MY06-07

    Hope that helps.
    MY2008 VW Polo GTi / GIAC Tune / Forge FMIC / Forge 007 DV / N75 Race / BMC OTA / KW V1 Coilovers / Whiteline Front&Rear Swaybars + Toe-In Shim / Weichers Front&Rear Strut Braces / Full Non-Res Milltek Exhaust / 17" Bora Sport

Hmm got them today and they are wrong, I need 2 round ones, the ones in the links above have only one round one and one square one.

Now stuck without a car for a week untill i get the right ones , as i had to force them out and cant put it back in

Yeah I think he has more, I thought it was a cheap mod but now gone through 2 sets lol

My Polo is a 07 model

That bushing is hard to see because it is kind of hidden by the batttery, I had to pull it all out to make it easier to get to

            No ones fault $hit happens

I do, posting express post today, my treat. Can everyone please compare the bushings prior to destroying the stock ones until we work out the exact Aussie fitment, or I'll go broke before I start!

                    Got the correct bushing today

Thanks Greg, you were so quick to send it

Going from first to second, you can really slam it through now, really quick shifts, as before I had to wait a bit

I got my neighbour to help me push the car into the garage the other night as i was sitting in the car steering. I didnt know where he was pushing on. Tonight i found a dent in the hatch, looks like he was pushing the car on the panel I am really pissed off , guess i will get over it, hopefully a dent guy can fix it
