This is what i need to remove. Ive tried wedging with a steel rule screwdriver the lot. Do i need to remove the Stereo headunit to gain access?

Yeah. I think pulling the stereo out will be the better option.

Remove the stereo doesn't help any! don't west your time and get those pins!
There are some screws holding the phone holder, you need to remove the front screws then, you can get access to remove the two hexagon socket head panel bolts at the back.Last edited by kelvniii; 01-03-2010, 07:19 PM.2013 4Motion "BLACK BEAR"

Polo UK is pretty dead, there seems to be more info and conversation on here.
