Just to confirm that I have purchased the last of the PD160 SEAT intake units from dubaddiction.

    Lucky old me.

There are a few dyno sheets floating around but most of the time they were done with the dump as well, but general consensus was the Cat was the biggest restriction in the system.

Would anyone know if there is a major difference between the PD160 and the CDA Intake? I've purchased the CDA intake about 5 months ago and no joke, it's still sitting in the box - yes, I have no time and found that Starcraft 2 is quite the fun for those who know the game - haha.

Can those who have driven, compared, owned or experienced the CDA intake, please do chime in!

        Thanks.

Hey dude, how goes the Pogo

Ive recently driven a car with the CDA intake (my car has the PD160at the moment) and i think there is not much difference in performance, mainly noise. Though it is a great noise. Possibly a little more torquey mid-high range but that may have just been an affect of the noise fooling me to think so.

Is yours the Oval CDA? I wouldnt think it would be worth the time moving/buying a smaller batter just for the CDA unless youre dead set on induction noise.

Sell it and spend money on the dump pipe if you havent yet, i'm on holidays else i'd come over and you could have a drive of mine. Worthy investment.

Cheers, but I already have the PD160 installed. Besides, I'd be getting ripped off with that swap

I didn't get the oval one, the cylindrical one. I'm dead set on induction noise - the best ever, lol. All jokes aside, I may sell it and get something else to add, or perhaps not. Hmm..

And fitted it today, without any more drama than a slightly skinned knuckle. Took less than 10 minutes, thanks to the excellent guide provided here. Didn't bother trimming the pebble deflector off.

                      • Trim the deflector, it does nothing but lower the noise output of the induction, sounds a bit nicer after cutting it

Looking at the design, even if pebbles got in there, they ain't going far

                        • I didn't trim it, mainly because I didn't have the screwdriver head required to remove the housing. Maybe one day, but I'm pretty happy with the current sounds the car emits.
