I ordered the one's off Ebay a while ago, haven't had any issues. Keep my three spare ones in the glovebox just in case.

Well it's now official, I've lost all of my original caps just as my car clicked over 4000km! Good going VW!!
I knew this last one was about to fall out, as it was noticably loose. In comparison, all of the ebay caps are tight as, and some have been there for 2000km or so.

So this leads me to conclude, the ebay center caps I posted above are better

I just had some scratches repaired to a wheel and the guy who did the repairs asked me about the centre caps and whether I had problems - I've only lost 1 so far. He suggested using 5 minute Araldite, 3 drops on the edges of the centre cap and click them in, he claims it works a treat and when you need to remove them you can tap on them (from the inside) and they will pop back off. Worth a try maybe.

Yup, I'm going to glue mine as they get replaced with the new set.

                  Not a bad idea!
I've got 4 spares so if I lose any more I'll do this one by one
