Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled
After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.
Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before.
We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

APR is not designed to work with turbo's other than the ones they supply (don't have to get it from them).
Biggest concern is the other parts you need, depending on which tuner you speak with, would not be hard to spend another thousand (or a few) just on supporting mods:
Injectors
Fuel Pressure regulator
Exhaust manifold / intake gasket.
Fuel Pump
Intercooler
Dump pipe / exhaust / decat
TIP / Seat intake / pod filter
Clutch / Flywheel / Diff (LSD)
3" maf housing
intake manifold
pistons / gaskets
diverter valve
suspension mods are a whole different issue (front swaybar set to hard helps).
Exactly what you "need" and what is "advisable" depends who you are talking to.

i dont think thats right or maybe not properly tuned..
im running standard turbo, with dp, pd160 and bmc and getting 173HP atw..
other pgtis here fully modded with standard turbo's are running 199 HP ATW...

Mate it was my car and Anthony is correct 169bhp at the wheels. You can't take dyno results from different dynos or even on different days and make direct comparisons. Anthony's car which was similarly spec'd engine wise to mine but with the stock turbo had about 20bhp less. His car also has a tip and other engine hoses mine doesn't. So it looks like a K04-001 gives around an extra 20bhp at the wheels.
There was guys complaining about "losing" 30bhp at that dyno day with the dyno running in non shootout mode.
Hope this helps.
