It can take a couple of days and it depends on how big or small the leak is.

Not making sense really as the tyre pressure is monitored via the abs sensors. In this case if any of these are in fact faulty it would be throwing an abs light on too, im thinking a faulty TPS switch on the dash perhaps.

I know that the TPS switch in the Polo can break, as it was already broken on mine when I first picked it up. The dealer fixed it for me though.

It's next to the ESP off button ... above the stereo.
