You could modify the stock bracket like Plautos did. No real need for this.

I would not go near the gearbox with my mechanical experience.
Also, I don't think many people have a drill press with high-tensile bits in their shed (assuming you own some a shed).
Guess the question is, how many hours worth of a mechanics time is redrilling the part worth compared to getting new ones. As they are small, shipping will not be too bad. If JMac or someome gets a few, I'd think they'd be around 150 or less landed.

Hey Hilal, you must be part Scottish to be so tight mate.
I am from Yorkshire, the next tightest race on the planet and even I couldn't be bothered to make my own.
And suppose, once you make it, you don't like it? Or screw it up? Then you have an expensive paperweight on your drive, until get yourself a modified one in the post.
$150 isn't big money really and you could always take it off if you sell the car.

Have to say, the Pog has one of the best shifts I've driven for a cable operated FWD car (after the DC2 Integra Type R) - and that's saying something considering I came from an MX-5. I'd prefer the travel to be a little shorter (but that's really nitpicking) but I also find you can't really rush the changes like you could with an MX-5/S2000 - maybe it's the flex in the cables? I don't know. So not too sure if a short shifter could help that.
No complaints as-is though.

There is only 1 company that makes a short shift for the 9N3 and it costs nearly 300 Euro + freight.

Here's the only one that I was able to find that specifically stated that it was for the 9N
