one of my aircon lines popped as i started the car the other day. Havent had a chance to get it sorted yet. Was weird. The hose just split all on its own and there was a big rush of what i first thought was steam. Thank goodness it wasnt coolant cos i didnt fancy walking home in the heat!

What do you guys do & what do you believe the right thing to do?
Plus, weirdly my old subaru was colder on direct air than recirc so got into the habit of never using it.Track Car: 06 Polo GTI Red Devil mkII

I also prefer to avoid recirc (stale air makes me get drowsy), but if it is stinking hot outside (ie 43C plus), recirc will cool the cabin down more (I really miss my Landcruiser A/c, it was so much more powerful than the VW and Skoda a/c systems when it is really hot).2017 MY18 Golf R 7.5 Wolfsburg wagon (boring white) delivered 21 Sep 2017, 2008 Octavia vRS wagon 2.0 TFSI 6M (bright yellow), 2006 T5 Transporter van 2.5 TDI 6M (gone but not forgotten).
