right... Singapore distributor was a flop. Couldn't come within a hundred of direct from UK...

For the AP Coilovers I have a confirmed pricing below. Given todays exchange rate works out to be right on $850.

To avoid tariffs and taxes, I don't think it will make sense to order in bulk.

For your info, here is what I've been quoted:

      AP Coilovers - £318.08
      KW Variant 1's - £691.29
      KW Variant 2's - £922.78
      KW Variant 3's - £1055.96
      Shipping (per kit) - £125

Feel free to PM me if you would like any more info, there is no incentive to order straight away, so I think I'll wait a little as I'm a little unsure about my current employment.

Why not go the HotTuning coilovers that are available and supported locally from a memeber of this site for $850???

        Would make more sense!!!

I'm not sure that your logic is all there... The local support makes a lot of sense, but i'm not expecting them to break in a hurry

You cant expect the same quality from Hottuning (retail 289 pounds vs AP's @ 365pounds vs weitec's @ 488 pounds). From what I have read, the AP's are well priced option. Are they going to be as good as the Weitec's? Probably not. Are they going to be better than the Hottuning? I'd hope so.

I'm not an expert, but coils aint coils and there is a reason you can pay some hundreds or some thousands...

If I had the money, I'd be going for KW's, but as I don't, I want to get the best bang for my bucks.

Based on a few reviews, think the AP's are an interesting option for street use.

anyone got any idea about the spring rates in any of these? To my understanding it's the best way to understanding how the car will ride.

If you're paying $850 for coil, they are not going to be Bilstein / Koni / KW quality no matter what brand... I doubt many would pick the difference between Brand X and Brand y $850 coils

Car audio is in the ****ter at the moment cause no one support local retailers anymore, and buy everything off the internet!!!

What are you talking about? of course they are not going to be as good as a product costing double or even triple.

I don't see why one brand at a price point cant be better than another, do you have any experience here?

Hmm interesting thread but just remember guys, which ever one choose, you'll still have to cough up anywhere between $300-500 for install and personally, if cheap coilovers at $850 a pop that possibly may fail soon (who knows?) it can get real expensive cause warranty doesn't cover fitting costs so might just end paying much more than you had bargained for. Just my 2 cents worth as bad things have happened to me in the past so I tend to stay away from cheap brands. I believe in the so called Murphy's law whereby "anything that can go wrong WILL go wrong".

There was a big debait on coilovers in the Mk3 section I think it was.

Guess there is a difference between spending $850 on a $6000 car and a $25,000 car
