AP Coilovers (or shocks) -EOI

I'm thinking about getting coilovers or shocks to go with the H&R springs I have.

Might be worth a group buy.

Here is a link to the AP Coilovers. Don't think anyone on here has them, but positive reports from other sites. Nice thing about these is you can go realllly low (and who doesn't want that!!!) Can get them now for $850ish (landed), but if there are a few of us interested, price should come down.

Anyone have an opinion on AP's?

if they are $800 landed, then can I suggest, rather that set up a group buy, you set up a discount structure for VWWC members, then individuals can buy directly.

at $800/set, buying 2 sets will put you over the evil customs/GST threshold which will add another 25ish% to your cost

What Gareth says is correct. Any Purchases over $1000 get slammed!!!!

Set up the contact with the seller and I'll definitely be keen to get some at some stage

I bet he will quote you £200 for shipping, so your landed cost will be A$1100, so you may be exposed to duty/GST

Apparently a bit harsh (not from my knowledge, just reading).

Also, thats around $300 more. I'd be happy for weitec's if we can find a good price, but again likely over 1000 mark...

I'll see what the local distributor comes back with.

i used to have weitec springs in my old Green beast and it rode beautifully!

Well, things are not looking to good at this time.

Local distributor charging in the vicinity of 2000 for the Weitec (pre install)

AP coils import from UK still looking to be over 850, no word from Singapore distributor.

Any local distribution contacts people have would be helpful, but i think at this rate I might be postponing for a while (to get rid of the mod bug or save and get the right kit).
