  • It's the rears that are from the TT bud. The front are standard size of 288mm but are RDA slotted jobs with TWR pads all from Greg. I want some 312mm rotors soon with Porsche calipers so will be selling the existing rotors and pads cheap. If your interested in the end links I can do a little better on price because I can drop those puppies off

If your gonna hit the track often I would consider rotors bigger than 312mm they just don't last. I'm gonna see up for the ecs Stage1 like troys

      • Believe it or not the 288mm rotors have held up exceptionally well so far with about 6 or 7 track outings plus daily use. I think it must be the fact that the Polo is so light from factory at 1139kgs (kerb weight) and on top of that I have pulled out almost 100kgs from that

Plus upgrading the rear brakes from those pissant little OE rotors to the 256mm Audi ones has meant the brake bias has evened out and must be taking some of the work from the fronts.

            • It must be the added porkiness of the A3 body and the 19" rims that's chewing out the rotors

Quite seriously and concentrating on Polos, Eddy found the standard 288mm rotors just fine for stopping power when doing 1:10's around Wakefield. He upgraded to get more cooling rather then increase in braking power.

                • I'm starting to get worried about your internals

I had a half-arsed look/attempt at fitting the rear brace this afternoon... can't say I like the massive frigging square holes where the bolts go through Looks like it's going to foul my fuel tank as well.. Did you have any problems like this Ant?

Yeah that's what we thought too. Could do with much smaller holes for sure. Just touches the tank but we didn't think that was a big deal. Needs a bigger fatter washer over the hole and I'd rather see some lock nuts on there too.

Sorry Clay not looking good for Happy Laps but with any luck all my new bushes, bracing and new alignment setting should be finished to ensure some high speed go cart action at Lakeside. Unless this Brisbane heat melts my tyers before then
