      The APR stage 3 (really big turbo - not ko4) on the 1.8T does not replace the camshafts, so if it doesn't need to then why would you need to or want to.

        Yep you can destroy your valves (smashing against the piston) if not reset properly once putting on a new camshaft. Highly advise a professional to do it.

          Exactly my point my friend, Gavs right i would spend else where on this engine for sure, and ill awake my existing comment on bleeding off compression, you can if you chose the wrong one, and with a cam on this engine you still have the variable valve timing but you can upset functionality. How are you going to use the application , if you like a blap now and again then i wouldnt bother as you dont reap any benefits for low end power.
          Yes we did fit high lift jobbies to PB engine Golfs and And this was an N/A engine, they did love it.
