I don't really like unbolting things off the car...
The painter said the side skirts came off quite easily. I told him they were taped on with very strong double sided tape so he kept that in mind when taking them off. I think the ones that have snapped have been from ill informed people just ripping them off without being careful.

That looks great mate, the silver really looks great with the black to contrast against.

Where you up in St lucia a bit last year? I used to frequent the area to see my GF and I swear I saw your car there alot.

Ah, I thought I also recognised the plates too. Must've been someone else. You'll be coming to the upcoming photoshoot won't you?

Can you tell me your tyre size, wheel width and offset and spacer width to fill the guards? Do you have spacers front and rear? I'm going down this route myself at the moment and so trawling for good info. Thanks in advance.

you going to want an offset of +32/+20 for an 8" wide, I'm running a 205/40 tyre but at +32 you could probably run a 215 without issues.

                    I've got 17x8s, +35 offset front, +19 offset rear (16mm spacers)

Thanks. I'm now fitting 17x8s, +35 with 215/40s and only 5mm spacers on the rear. I'll see how it goes and maybe upgrade to 10mm spacers. Looking at the clearance with this setup, I'm amazed that you can go to +19 with no touching.

As an aside, for what it's worth I've finally discovered that you can't get 225/35/17s on the front with this ET, but you can on the rear.

well I wouldn't say no touching there is one mark that looks like the wheel has come in contact with the guard, but thats it haven't found any other evidence, sure handles a lot better though.

thats probably cos the rear gaurds are already rolled from the factory

So are the fronts rubbing on the inside shock or outside guard??

                            Thanks!

There's about 1-2mm inner clearance to the strut - the wheel will revolve with the car on a jack, but experience says that with heat/tyre growth at speed, there will be touching. 1-2mm aint enough insurance for me. Not sure about outer clearance on the front in fast cornering, but it LOOKS adequate in the straight ahead position.

To clarify, the above post refers to 225/35/17s. With 215/40/17s there is no problem.
