im jealous- we need that rain so we can get the snow season atleast SOMEWHAT started down here.

bloody bastards down on the south island of NZ have like, more than a meter of snow already, all over the resort at both coronet peak and the remarkables.

Mate, I recommend the APR Engine mount..it'll smooth out that almost out of control power feeling on the car...it seems to smooth out the acceleration curve - well it did for me anyhow...feels like it tightens up the gearbox too..not sure how it works mechanically tho

The APR engine mount is $119, which is pretty good. The question is though... how much does the labour cost to get it installed? How many hours does it take?

Takes 1/2 an hour - 45 minutes with a hoist & press (or large vice). You need to press the bush out with this, but the new one will slip into the mount by standing on it (well lubricated of course!)

There are some pics on the forum here of the install procedure - each mount comes with instructions anyway!

There is another way. With the dogbone off the car, cut the rubber centre out of the old bush - I used a serrated steak knife - then CAREFULLY cut through the nylon outer with a fine tooth hacksaw blade without touching the aluminium of the dogbone. The bush then falls out and as Guy says the new one presses in easily with lube. Took about 15 mins.

yep sunny coast, last week we had wide spread flooding and road blockages. 8 months worth of rain in 48 hours. needless to say it was granny driving time for mic. atleast i recorded my lowest ever fuel consumption. 7.1lts/ 100kms

chipping or not, fuel difference is not much. Did a cruise with a friend, he got XL/100km (stock) while my car with the apr chip did 0.1-0.2L/100km more. Fun factory is obviously another story there

lower ave fuel consumption on my car was 5.7L/100km that was with the 98 mode. (on the freeway with cruise control on between 70-100kph)
