  • I've fitted these last weekend and they appear to be almost exactly the same size as standard (be within a few millimetres) and as such hasn't stopped the knocking... mine rarely knocked anyway, but it's no different.

    Anyone else experienced this?

    • I have had the opportunity to compare both links side by side at Jimmy's and he brought it to my attention the Ford links are in fact thinner and more than likely weaker than OEM.

I have Whiteline front sway bar and H&R springs which have settled very low and I only very rarely get any knocking.

Were your mondeo links near enough to exactly the same size as the standards??

Just wondering if I could have got the wrong sized ones. they were ordered from the link that was posted here...

Have you had a bigger sway fitted???? if yes and its a whiteline this sway bar sits VERY close to the Alloy consoles bith sides, fitting it takes a good eye to make it even and even then it can shift. I would be fitting stronger clamps on the stopper on the sway to stop it shifting, fairly common ive noticed and its exactly like you say more so going up or down a driveway, dodgy links can knock on driveways but more so present on undulations
                  Cheers

                  • Hi folks.

Got a quote for $78.50 each (!!!!) for OEM drop links.

Anyone know if there's anywhere on the web I can have a look for VAG parts that may be a bit more reasonable than my local stealer?

Might pop into a suspension shop on the weekend to see what they want for a generic pair.

PS car is stock height and staying that way .

                            • I've gone back to stock drop links as they work best with the AP Coilovers, but I found a link to this product on the Polo UK site.

They are apparently much shorter (i.e. may be a good option for h&r spring setups or some coilovers).
