If the car is raised, this means the suspention is slack, and will drop to its lowest point, meaning you are going to have to lift the suspention back up to have the components line up.
Like I said, this is just how I would do it.

Mate, you can do this easily by yourself of you have a socket set. Using the above method I changed my drop links in about 30min. You don't even have to put the car up on stands.

    • I dont know if it has been mentioned before on here but Whiteline makes bearing adjustable links in just about any length you want.

      Part number is KLC40-## (## represents the size from 060 (60mm) to 335 (335mm)).

It does the same job maybe even better than the Ford Mondeo units but its slightly different design.

      • Nah...apparently they've got to be the genuine Ford Mondeo links, ordered using the complexity of the interweb, and with all the ensuing issues of delivery and fitting. Nothing else will do!

I looked at these, and they look really nice and speccy. I was put off by the price initially, but even Whiteline recommend for race use only on their site. I was going to get them for my rear links.

I don't know how it is so complex? My mum could have fitted these.
          1) Order off Ebay.
          2) Pay $45 including delivery from Ireland.
          3) Wait a week for delivery from Ireland.
          4) Drive car into Garage, drink beers and chew the fat with your old man while taking 30min to fit with a 3/8 drive socket set.
          5) Bask in warm glow knowing that you didn't have to pay someone else to do the work on the car for you.

Yeah they are a bit more expenive than Mondeo links.

As for Whiteline "Race Only" use, they state that because of the headaches of getting them ADR approved and there is also the insurance factor if one of their parts was to fail and cause an accident on the road.

I dont know how good the bearing system is or how convinient the adjustments in length are. I have never used them in my cars, never needed to. Someone that has used them may be able to give us some reviews of them.

Indeed...I used the to indicate irony. There's many adjustable drop links around that will work, which I tried to point out way back when

              • Hahaha, point taken. I remember reading your post way back when before cosidering the Mondeo ones, but for the price these things went for, I thought they were great value. I looked at the Whiteline ones too, but the price was a bit rich for my liking.
Delivery time didn't really bother me due to the fact that I had been overseas, so I was stockpileing parts so I could add them when I got home on leave.
Was a fun night with many beers down range when I was able to fit all of my parts!!

                • I just bought mine also from the ebay seller.

Worked out to be just a tick under $40 AUD to ship to me in Australia.

If the links for this do not work or expire, goto www.ebay.co.uk and do a search for
" FORD MONDEO MK3 FRONT ANTI ROLL BAR DROP LINK RODS x 2 "

This is how I found them I have a knock at the front too, but am waiting on near Seat Bushes as well from Jmac, hopefully the combination of both with greatly improve the knock and handling too
