Call us.Originally posted by Whubbsie View Postwhere can you get details on what each APR stage entails?
For the Polo you have :
Stage 1 = software
Stage 2 = add exhaust
Stage 3 = add a large Garrett Turbocharger
and in the mix you have a down pipe & K04.
The "Stage" terms came from back in 1998 when APR released their first 1.8T upgrades & really dont apply much these days.

Won't allow for bigger turbo or more fueling (its not its purpose).Originally posted by Kai View PostHow far can APR Vtune go?
Will allow you to get the best out of fuels & temperature variances.
Also has some torque / idle / offset control for cars running super light flywheels / pulley sets etc.
Not much use for your average Polo owner.

28R is very old school &* does not offer spool up & driveability like the other two (to the best of my knowledge)Originally posted by JCM308 View PostWhat are the approx power figures from each stage?
I have a GT28R currently and I'm deciding if I want to go with that or go bigger.
Depending on supporting hardware 350 - 375hp then 375-425hp.
Personally on a Polo, the stage 3 kit with 350-375hp would be ample.

When I get a bit closer I'll contact you Guy and decide which way I'll go.
Have many people done the stage 3 or 3+ yet?

No worries. Well when I start getting serious about wanting to do the mods (basically when I have the cashflow) I'll get in contact with you and discuss which way I want to go and how much it will cost.Originally posted by Guy_H View PostNot on a Polo.
Two things generally stop most (apart from the cost):
Gearbox strength & Longevity
Tyre Size

It ran a 12.1 on its first outing , oh btw , there are so Seats in the US eitherBug_racer supports the rebellion of the euro revolution

Thats a load of (Edit : ) horse puckey . The only reason you say that its cause you dont want to sell the software seperate from the kit . Either that or your making your own software sound inferior to the other tuners . Giac does the same , no kit , no software .Last edited by DaveMack; 13-03-2009, 02:23 PM.Bug_racer supports the rebellion of the euro revolution

Sorry - we don't just make up hacked software & then say "try this"Originally posted by Bug_racer View PostThats a load of (Edit : ) Horse Puckey . Stage 3 software is never sold without a kit.
- if you wish to sell software & then let people supply different parts - thats your business.
Thats not the way we or APR work.Last edited by DaveMack; 13-03-2009, 02:23 PM.
