Cool! How much was it landed??? Was there any import taxes or did they underwrite the total charges for you?

Whats the cost damage on that kit?

Yeah mine was slightly better around $850 depends on exchange rate.
Got here in 3 business days tho.......wow....UPS certainly got that moving but freight was easily $200 US.
I think AUS supply would be preferable in future for sure.

would that much clamping force put more stress on the gear box?

Can you elaborate on your thoughts, about why you think the clamping force would damage the gearbox?

I think that bad control of the clutch, side stepping at 5000revs for example, would be far worse for the box than a clutch with higher clamping force.

sorry , i think i just worded it wrong (brain not entirly in gear @ 244 am lol)
i guess my question should have been, if you upgrade the clutch to a higher clamping force,or just upgarding the clutch at all from stock oem. would it create any adverse effects or strain on the gearbox, being that it is now the weaker link in the drive train? or is it purely a matter of a bit of mechanical respect for your vehicle.

Personally, I believe it's all about mechanical respect for the car. I don't see the gearbox giving up because of the clutch.

The above is not entirly correct I don't believe... If you stress car components the weakest link will always break first... If the clutch is stronger than the box, the box will break (i.e. Subaru WRX et al)

I'd rather replace a clutch than a greabox

yes i would break to if i were being dumped at 5000+rpm. i think thats where the respect comes in.

                        Peoples!

                        Anyone tried the Findanza FW?

I found a good deal on E-bay and I'm thinking to buy it.

It will fit in the Polo, right?!

Other question for those who hold the knowledge…

Our gear box is a 02J?

I've been informed by Quaif that O2J boxes are only fitted to Golfs, ie Mk4. Apparantly the Polo GTI is fitted with an O2R box. Usually you need to quote the gearbox code to avoid any problems. Remove your intake hose between the grill and air box, the code is stamped next the gear linkages. Usually it's 'JBD', then the remaining code which signifies the production date, eg JDB 24116, then 14 472 1 underneath that.
