Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • MAF sensor part #

    Hi All,

I am hoping someone could give me the part number for the MAF sensor to convert the housing from Airbox outlet connection to pipe connection to connect to a pod filter (is it the same at the Golf MKIV GTI?) for a Polo GTI?

Kai I know you've done this mod. Do you have the part # on hand?

    Thanks everyone in advance.
    Cheers,

    John

If you get a rubber neck filter. The clamp can shrink down onto the maf sensor.

    Saves abit of money.

I gave up on having a pod there tho. Heat got to it too much. Heated up the pod which then heats up the air as it travels through the pod.

Thanks for the advise Kai. I'm looking at making a custom CAI soon. Just wanting to know how others have got around the MAF sensor housing issue.
        Cheers,

        John
