I have chipped my polo, but i dont get that no traction for 1st to 3rd gear that kind of thing at all...
Not as powerful as i expected...
I got 17" 205 contis, is that because of the tyres?
Waiting for APR's easter sales for a dump pipe...
Man, I would look at your clutch...I have had the same issue. I have got my APR Tune done in mid December. I has AWESOME initial acceleration(to me anyway), then I noticed when I would put my foot down I would get the noise and a pause and then a surge of acceleration. It is slowly getting worse and I will need a new clutch in the next couple of months.
The Polo GTI clutch is weak. The big power gain that you get out of the tune is not good for the clutch. the extra grip afforded by my semi slicks dosn't help with this either....Thats what I would look at.
I know its a completely different car, but when I got my SRI clutch changed after I had semi slicks on it, it was glazed to the sh*t house, but not worn too much. Thats what I think is going on with my Polo now too.
Had exedy in my old MX-5, cheaper than stock, no complaints even for track use. Nice purple casing for you and all your mates to crawl under the car and admire Didn't really notice any real difference from stock which I guess was the point.
Be careful if you're servicing the car at the dealer's though in case they wonder where you're getting all the extra torque from to burn out the clutch...
