Ummm, no its not - its even more restrictive than the stock intercooler, and from all the tests we have done, you are better off not using it, even on a stock car - good for looks, that's about all.
Anyway, I sent Plautos a message & going to send him our test data so he can test himself.
diddn't know it was even MORE restrictive than the stock IC.
i knew for sure it was not the IC that the polo need, but as far as i've read it does elliminate heatsoak??
the reason why i said it should be good for K04 is because i know someone with Forge IC and K04 that claims it's still verry good for this turbo... verry good to know you guys tested it!
now i'm 100% sure i did a better choise with the seat sport IC i'm running
ever tested this one by a change?
@plautos: sorry to "invade" youre topic about the IC stuff.
best video's i've seen in a long time involving a GTI

I will try to get some time to post up the testing data - we did this to show to at least 5 of our customers that lost a significant amount of boost & power when swapping the stock intercooler to the Forge unit. We have flow bench testing data, dyno logs & road logs. But that's for another thread! Sorry, never tested the Seat one!

Upgrade the intercooler is in my “will do” list.
But first I will try a new intake manifold. Should I expect any improvement?
I think so, especially if you can get a larger throttle body diameter in there, it may work well with your larger turbocharger (and of course the correct tune to match!)
@Plautos, intake manifold does make a big diffrence.
noticed this at a friends Ibiza.
he has K04_001 charger on it and has 260Hp and it pulls like crazy.
it has more breath in higher RPM and a bit more torque compared to the stock manifold.
don't know exact wich intake it was, thought APR...
anyway, it will make a diffrence, specially on youre car with the GT28RS:-p
Plautos - I've followed this thread since day one. I won't be happy until you modify this thing to go inter-planetary and it be the first manned mission to Mars. Well done mate! What a car.

After a long struggle I finally could finish the car.
The intake and my tuned intercooler are in place.
I had very good results by the way. More top end power. I’m not loosing boost anymore.
At my first run I had 1,8bar. Tuning the MBC I could reduce to 1,6bar. I’m happy with that.
I will try to go to a dyno in the next week.
Follow some pics.
