a little off topic (actually quite a bit - but not worth starting a new thread), but how do you guys find the wear on the tyres after a track day??

Can't comment on the VW's, ask me in a couple of months
Experience from previous car:
The tread wear looks worse than what it is. You get chunks of rubber build up.
I'd done 7-8 trackdays (over 100 hotlaps on sprint circuit) at QR and a couple of skid pans on a set of Yoko C-drives and still got 25,000km out of em. Set the right pressure, don't over drive the car and regular rotations. Tyres wear really quickly by over driving, they did go hot and mushy after 2-3 hot laps, do a lap at 85% than a final hot one to finish off.Track Car: 06 Polo GTI Red Devil mkII
Daily: 2010 VW Jetta Highline
Gone but not forgotten: 08 Polo GTI

It may just be me but i've driven a Golf GTI and Polo GTI and to be honest the Polo's suspension is far from 'rolling all over the place' in comparison. It's not that much softer than the Golf's. You would expect the Golf's suspension/chassis to be superior (which it is) but in that saying that, it's still not exceptional.
If you upgraded suspension in the Polo and tracked it against a stock Golf, wouldn't that just make any comparison useless" I wait I resolution derive pleasure this " latest spammer post
