    Sorry, off topic:
I'm a 99% certainty for the saturday sprints at QR at the end of February. There's one at the end of january, though having just picked the car up 2 days ago and have too many bills due at the same time, it's in the too hard bin.

Check the Queensland raceway site for the calendar and costs.

PS. Mine will still be stock for it. As the time gets closer I'll open a thread to see if anyone's keen to do it too.

    Sorry, back on topic now.

The Polo Gti does flap all over the place when the road gets twisty.

Or at least mine does with its standard suspension and extra power and red colour

Its like putting a lady topless with big hooters galloping on a horse. the first gallop they sort of go together but a few gallops later they are all over the show, one north and the other south..

At that point you just close your eyes.. hand on forehead.

Im guessing the Golf GTi would be the woman with the firmer hooters on the horse, half a jiggle and they are back in place for the next gallop..

Hope you all enjoy my analogy.. (and agree)

Hey TGo is this the APR Gti track day - they have never been to Perth before and I asked them if they would ever do one....no response.

Track days scare me I'd be worried I drive beyond my limits and end up doing some damage.

Mate you just go and drive with what you are comfortable. It's not a race. When I did my first track day I was told to do the first lap at a reasonably slow pace and then gradually build it up to what your comfortable with. If you make a mistake you start the process again. It's a blast and now I'm chipped am dying to do one.

Believe me ... none of us want dents and / or scrapes on our cars either.

That describes EXACTLY how I've always thought the Polo handles – beautiful stuff!!!!

And go too heavy into a corner and one tit sinks down while the other rides up in a non erotic manner - the girl just looks uncomfortable

                            Here's a decent comparison...

Note to any Polo GTI drivers attempting to race a V GTI around the Nurburgring-Nordschleife... don't!

The Polo is definitely a slow in fast out kinda car. It responds very well to smooth chnages to steering, braking and acceleration.

The best improvement was going from the Continentals to Michelin PP2 tyres. The stiffer sidewalls have given a minor transformation to the chassis.
