    Dynosheet itself

Let me know if you can't see the graph..

Mine seems a little lean on AFR. 11.9 was the lowest. What can I do get this rectified?

      cant see the graph.

      11.9 is lean.

Id like to run more fuel.

CBFd signing up to that site and looking at the chart, but check with your Revo dealer -- you should be able to add fuel to the mix pretty easily

I've been having trouble uploading pictures directly.
Just contacted REVO manager, he can sort me out in 20 seconds! Sweet as. Booked in for down pipe on 22nd/Dec.

With proper AFR / cooler weather / Down pipe / BP ultimate -> I think I can make 140kw at wheels.

Currently 127.3kw at wheels with REVO + Seat intake. Temperature / BP ultimate -> probably 130kw. Then down pipe hopefully will give me around 10kw?

downpipe seems to add around 7kW atw and a FMIC around 5kW.

i think 140kW at the wheels with just chip, downpipe and intake is a bit optimistic. that'd have to be a significant record for just those mods. one of the guys here with those mods (Sam) got around 130-131kW atw.

Eddy got 135-7kW atw with chip, intake, filter, FMIC and full exhaust. i think he may have had a TIP as well.

the above cars were tested on the same day and the temperature was definitely not hot (around 20 degrees C)

On a mates polo i got 10kw out of a 3inch downpipe. But i removed the cat aswell. So probably the extra 3kw.

Okay, that sounds fine. I guess reason for difference also is I am using aggressive boost with REVO rather than APR. I will be happy with 135kw + at wheels with only those mods.

I will keep the CAT. So around 7kw... that's minimum 135kw my maths (at good temp with good fuel).

                  Sounds good to me!

                  Cheers guys.

Will prove on dyno once things are all done. AFR will be fixed also.

This dyno is one of the most famous places to get dynoed on.

EVO10 got 171kw at wheels, which sounds about right.
EVO10 with ECU / piping / intake / exhaust etc got 221kw afterwards which is pretty beasty!

What I am happy is the torque - my Polo is a torque king...

Nice power for the mod's done.

Mixtures are on the lean side & that along with the tune cleaned up should be much better.

Also. Your car doesn't make that much torque sorry no matter what someone tell's you. That's more than a 6.0L V8!

I'd say that the figure is probably tractive effort by the dyno.

Dyno's should also be ran in 4th gear or 1:1 ratio. to get a accurate reading.

For interest sake, the tractive effort is a figure @ say 100kph that the dyno hold's & when you open the throttle, & it read's off how much tractive effort the dyno need's to make to hold the car at 100kph with the pedal at wide open, then the operator flick's a switch & the power curve start's & dyno ramp's up. giving you a power curve & figure.

Someone else please clear this up. This is how I've been taught & know.

There are a few main factor's in the dyno figures. One is the weight of the vehicle, another is the gear selected & form what I've learn't the main one is the inlet air temp. If you put this sensor near the exhaust pipe, you can turn your 100hp car into a dyno queen making 400+hp.

The operator has to know what he's doing & how to read it!

Oh I definitely don't believe in the number. More compared with other cars dynoed our polo torque is amazing. I think evo5 had 900nm on that dyno. Honda type s prelude with 2.2 litre which made 132kw wheels had 400nm on same dyno. So my little polo with 680 odd seems very good especially for it's weight. :0)

The torque number is only useful when comparing to EXACTLY THE SAME CAR.

As others have noted, the torque is multiplied by the gearbox gear, diff gear ratio etc

Got 139.6kw atw today at the QLD mini dyno day. It was stinking hot .... 32 degrees when my car ran........

That's awesome power.... how did others cars do? That would give us impressions on how the dyno is set up...

                              Brilliant power!

It was stinking hot. Temps ranged from 32 - 36 degrees. This affected power in a big way. This is the dyno that APR uses all the time to do their tests and is very consistent.

chipped only Polo (+SEAT & TIP) ran a 120.5 which is at least 3-5kw down on where it should be. Intake temp 85 degrees !!!!!!

chipped Polo (FMIC + SEAT + K&N + R1 + TIP) ran 122.4 which is also down by 4-5kw at least. Intake temp 45 degrees

chipped only Golf GTI ran 150.2 which is also down by 2-3kw on a normal GTI on that dyno.

With a run temp of 32 degrees I was very happy with 139.6 and can probably expect another 2-3kw on a cooler day. Intake temp 45 degrees.

..... APR's stage 3 Golf GTI with the race program and race fuel ran 300.3kw atw with no sweat ...... .... and temps were up to 36 degrees at the time .....

On a much cooler day in August (about 23 degrees) Eddy's car with APR ECU, APR FMIC, APR full exhaust and other little bits ran 135kw on V1 and then 137kw on V2. V2's power curve totally different peaking at 5100rmin with V1 at about 6300 rmin.

EDIT ... On the cooler day the FMIC cars' intake temps (Eddy, Jason and myself) were around 39 degrees. So at least 5-6 degrees hotter intake air for the FMIC cars (yesterday) resulted in a 4-5kw drop in expected power.
