Hello everyone. Seems there is an issue with Telstra (possible others) blocking email from our server. If you are trying to sign up I would suggest a different email if possible. If you're trying to reset your password and it fails please use the Contact Us page:
just by looking those photos, you'll be looking at least $1,000 to get it fixed. but yeah if it wasnt your fault, claim thru his insurance company.
In my younger days, I did the same to a volvo, bloody volvo drivers. Anyways, when I got the bill, it was over $6k. So I opted to pay the excess, which was almost $3k.
Not anywhere near as bad as this, but this morning I noticed on the passenger side guard that someone hit me. Not sure when it was, but there is green paint on the guard, and I was parked next to a green car yesterday at Bondi Beach.
How hard is it to park without hitting another car? Honestly...

Reason: Inappropriate language.
What he said...He(the guy that hit you) was stupid enough to admit fault at the scene of the accident(something that you NEVER do, even though you may know you are/he is...this is the job of the Police or insurance company).
Its an annoying situation, but just let the RACQ haul the other bloke over the coals...
Can I ask why you never admit fault if you hit someone? I would have thought that it might calm the other person down or something and also make you seem like less of an ******** looking for some trouble (That's how I would feel the other person was if they hit me and didn't at least apologise).
It makes it very hard for your Insurance Company to fight on your behalf, or recover any costs that may be recovered from the other party.
Also, if you accept liability by saying "it's my fault", you are telling the other party that you are an expert in road traffic matters, and you alone can decide where the blame lies.
These matters are not always as clear cut as they seem. Best to say nothing and give your Insurance a chance to work in your favour.

Also with this, you can void your insurance policy if you admit fault at the scene of an accident too(I had this with one of my insurance policies), so even if you are at fault, you keep your mouth shut, and only answer to the cops or the insurance company.
Seriously, are you going to look any better to the bloke if you admit fauld after you have hit his pride and joy...No. Just keep quiet, and cop the abuse, cos if you are at fault, you probably deserve it.
"If can't get behind your troops, feel free to stand in front of them..."
Even if you run a red light never admit it to the other party at the scene... to the best of your knowledge it was still green
As far as repairs in Brisbane go see these guys - Shipstone Accident Repairs - Lutwyche. My GTI got rear ended and they did an awsome job on getting it fixed... Would recommend them to anyone plus they are an RACQ repairer which for you (and me) is a bonus.
All you have to do it take it in for a quote, then take the quote to the RACQ assessment centre at Beaudesert (with your car) and get it approved. Since your not at fault, you only need one quote
Ouch, what a pain in the butt!
Based on some work I had done on my lancer just before I sold it about three months ago, I'm guessing around the $4k mark, maybe more.

Does not matter what anyone says at the side of the road. Only what is said to the insurance company. A motorbike hit me, apologized profusely at road side, once insurance called he said not his fault no way he would pay. Been 2 months now QBE still has not decided who is at fault. I've paid for my car to be fixed and now have to wait I guess. I'll give it 2 more weeks and then I may have to pay the guy a visit
MK4 GTI - Sold
MK5 Jetta Turbo - Sold
MK5 Jetta 2.Slow - Until it dies.
Ill talk to them about the repairers and and get them to go with the one of the ones you have recommended. Ill find out thursday if its easy enough for them to fix or not.
