They should be selling (or even building) the Opal Corsa here instead of that crapy rebadged Daewoo Barina... With the competition from the new Fiesta plus the Mazda 2, the Daewoo Barina just doesn't cut it.. I like the Corsa name too!!!

No brainer, gotta be 135i coupe and chipped. Definitely giving E62 M3 something to think about.

Definitely a great car - a very well driven 135i (stock) consistently placed at the top of the non-'RS' cars at last year's NSW Dutton Rally.

...But I too am also a 'purest' & I will always enjoy the growl of an IC engine. Electrics just don't get the bood pumping for me.

Exactly the same here - as technically great as the electric cars are going to become (plug-in, hydrogen etc etc), in my mind part of the experience of a car is defined by the noise the engine makes.

Taking that away from the equation ruins the whole package - case in point the Aston Martin V8 Vantage which isn't as capable a car as a 997 or an M6 but wins hands down with the awesome V8 soundtrack.

It would still have to be more effective (front mount), and larger, than ours, wouldnt it? (gti and tdi being same smic).

Its kinda puzzling why euro car manufacturers seem to want to use intercoolers that are rendered incapable with anything past a stage one tune. It's like they dont care that we want to prolong the life of our turbos with bigger intercoolers (uprated tunes and exhausts aside).......
