Hi Guys,
I recently purchased 2007 GTI Polo and it’s a lot of fun to drive!
However last week I turned on the car and my air con suddenly stopped being cold after working wonderfully.
The heater works perfectly fine and the air comes fine out of the vents.
I thought it would just need a regas and I had a mechanic come out to do this.
After 10mins and not much checking he just said the air con compressor needed to be replaced and it would cost $1400
Normally I would take someone at their word however this guy wasn’t very pleasant to deal with from his arrival so I’m wondering if there is any way for me to confirm this information.
It’s not a huge issue more like an inconvenience in the summer days and when it rains and windscreen fogs up!
Any advice here would be amazing I’m in Sydney by the way.
