What do you guys think about this GTI?

I was browsing carsales to check whats for sale and i came across this hot little GTI. Its rolling on 17" Audi A8 rims. It makes it look expencive.

yeah i saw this parked outside Gold Coast VW about 6 weeks ago. looks hot in the flesh, but those centre caps just look stupid. i actually thought it was lower than this.

maybe he was in looking at upgrading??

I reckon it looks alright. Those wheels have a habit of looking HOT on a lot of newer VW models.

Unfortuntely, a victim of it's own success, seems every second mk 4 is wearing them tends to loose the "specialness" of it.

Still looks hot, tis no mk 1 though

are you referring to the wheels?? remember, they are only 1 inch larger than stock. they just look a lot larger due to the design. i reckon they are perfect.

Yep looks hot!! Its just the VW centrs caps look damn weird.
Worth checking out what mods have been done to it (hopefully none)

never been a fan of the A8 rims to be honest. They just look a bit pimpin' if you know what I mean. Everyone has different tastes though i guess.

are the centre caps normally that big? cos they look stupid what are they grill badges or something? aside from that they look alright on there they look bigger than they are.

If the centre caps were smaller or maybe just weren't VW but were Audi, it'd look hot as!!

i reckon no centre caps would be the way to go. would look heaps better. it would take away that "pimp" look that people are talking about.

As far as mods go, it has APR chip, 17" A8 rims with brand new tyres and amp ready to run a woofer, HID kit, H&R lowered springs and Bmc air intake kit. Hes asking 26k for an '08 model with 22,000 km. Its a good price i guess.

not bad but 22k in 10 months is steep, then again I've done 7500 in 4 months there goes my resale value.

With 22000kms on it i'd expect it to be more around $24k even with the mods.
