    Fuel smell in engine oil

    Hey everyone

    For a while now when idling my car the exhaust smells of fuel. This morning for some reason i had a sniff of the dipstick and the engine oil smells of fuel too.

    I change my oil every 5k, my engine oil hasnt raised or lowered noticeably on the dipstick. Doesnt blow white smoke. Havent installed anything, im thinking this isnt normal

      Sticking injector maybe, clean should fix it.

        the techie took a readout and had a gander. he said its all normal and the smell is carbon in the oil and thats what the smell is. hes right, smells like the soot in the cars exhaust.
