  • my polo has arrived

    Hi there fellas

I just picked up my new polo GTI yesterday.

    Candy white with leather.

    I enjoy it.

Tomorrow i will be selling my mazda 3. but i am a bit emotional as i feel a bit sad seeing my FIRST ever car go. And it was a good car at that as well.

Please tell me i am not a freak for missing/being emotionally attached to a car.

i know how you feel. no matter WHAT the car was, i think everyone has that special place in their heart for their first ever ride.

you might want to add a post to this thread as well! http://www.vwwatercooled.org.au/newf...=official+polo

my first car was a pathetically slow '96 Holden Barina.....was happy to get rid of it at the time but i see it around the Gold Coast sometimes and it hurts me......oh i miss it so!

yeah what is it about cars that induces these emotions?

oh by the way, the first car that i bought with my own money was the vr6, so THAT is the ruby in my eye, or whatever that saying is.....

every time i see one i cant help but look on in admiration..... then, i say "that bastard...."

You've got to be joking!!! My first car was a 1948 Wolseley 680. 2 ton, 75 hp and slow as sh*t.

When I sold my 88 Swift GTi (reluctantly - I was unable to stop spending money I didnt have on it) I cried for the whole day. I even spent $800 getting bits and pieces fixed on it and detailed so the next owner would have it perfect, even though I sold it at a loss

                          Great little car.
