What's the best you've got out of a tank of petrol? My 97 Polo got 760 k's the other week and I might have been able to squeeze more but the next servo was 47 k's away and I didn't want to risk it. Most of the mileage was on country roads but there was still 3 trips to work in Canberra in that 760 so yes, some city driving.

Anyone got good figures out of a GTI?

You two bought the lightweight petrol tank option? Only holds 20 litres?

550 is my best and had to put 42 litres in. 380-430 on normal driving but I only fill up every 2 weeks.

                    220-250 on a track day

I got 395 out of mine last week and had to put 42L in the tank. Ave economy is sitting on 9.4l/100 and all my driving (sorry crawling) is in sydney peak hour
                      Cheers,

Sydney peak hour must be nothing. My usual is 10.6L/100km on BP Ultimate (was 11.8 with V-Power).

Generally find it hard to get out of 2nd for the majority of the trip. Also my car is standard (for now). If I mod mine and get 10.6 ave I'd be happy
                          Cheers,

I know of this guy with a Polo that used to average 6.9L at 110kph but when doing 120kph the car averages 5.6L on a flat bit of highway. *on a closed private road and all that bs*
