  • Sorry, I know I'm painful but wanna get it right

These Ozwheels should look killer on my White POLO Gti, but need dubbers opinion if they fit, 5x100 yes, 17 x 7.5 yes, 48mm offset I believe so, X-factor/brake caliper clearance....I hope so....any opinions?
Dubbers thanks so much in advance...I'd be lost without you guys.

Caliper clearance will be easily fine as they are an inch bigger to start with and they are racing rims.

Not sure on the offset question though.

Otherwise.. they are sexy rims. I want them.

The offset sounds a bit too high - more like a WRX offset to me... You may run into trouble with the inside of the rim scrubbing on the struts/springs

Using the offseet calculator (http://www.1010tires.com/WheelOffsetCalculator.asp) on the 1010tires website, going from a stock 6.5" GTI wheel to the 7.5" wheels in you link, you would have 19mm Less sturt clearance... and there isn't a whole lot to begin with so you should check this before going ahead!!!

To fit a Polo I believe the ideal offset is anywhere from a +38 to a +42 (which is common form most FWD hatches)

That site is unbelievably painful. Why can't you choose from sizes/offsets. You have to find a vehicle the wheel you want suits (cos they don't sell the Polo in the US)

Have a look at this link for specific wheels for the Polo GTI

            Cheers,

Using a 17X7.5 you would need about a 32-38 offsett i would think.
My TT wheels are 17x7.5 ET32 and they are perfect running 205/40/17.
Oz wheels are the ducks nuts i can understand why you want to get this right.

Liam I got a price next dat about 1300USD incl freight to Perth but Excl tyres (I'll get that done here to save $$ on freight). Great price but once again, I don't want them to be an incorrect fit and have to mess around with returns etc...These'd look magic on a Black GTI

                        Hey Polo,

That Pic of ur white polo looks mad!! (not to mention the rest)
Are the 16" wheels with the car lowered?
My dream is same standard POLO GTi wheels bit in 17"...like the Golf GTi but the stud pattern is different. Hence next best is the Oz supers....cheers

You'd better hurry before the Oz dollar sinks much more against the USD.

Anyone interested in a group buy of wheels + tyres?

It we have enough order to fit a container, it will be cheap...

Any size, any brand of wheels and tyres are welcome!
