Insurance - how good is this!

I just did an online insurance quote with AAMI and it's only $570 for a standard 2008 Polo GTI. With engine mods, flashed, body kit and exhaust mods it adds an extra $60.

Maybe it's because I'm an old fart and live in the country but if that's all it costs for the mods I'm planning why would I go anywhere else. Sure beats the $2200 I used to pay 25 years ago for my Bolwell Nagari. Little Pog should go almost as quick too once it has a few things done to it.

Just need to sort out a few things then I'll get one on lease in a couple of months.

Thats pretty good. I'm paying a bit less than this($530) for my Pogo. No extra cost for mods so far too.

We had a thread running on this a few months ago...Its interesting to see the VAST difference people are paying for insurance on their Polo's.

I refuse to EVER have anything to do with AAMI because of those confounded 'Toddy' ads, however out of interest I just ran through their quotinator.

Only $300 more than ING and Suncorp per year...

being under 25, i got a quote of $1100ish (or $105/monthly).

which is cheap considering the online valuation quoted $1200ish..

i need to try aami tomorrow....

I can't get insurance for anything like that. I'm 26 with a good record and I'm still paying $900 with NRMA. Others quoted me $1000+ (even had one say $2000)

I'm was with Allianz and paying approx 1700, but they don't deal with modifications, so now with GIO, 40% NCB, 24, male, Western Sydney, and paying approx 2250 a year. =(

im under 25 and payin 800 a year for full insurance for my 06 gti. best bet is shop around there are good deals out there.
i was also only recently paying 1200 a year for a fairly moddified r33 gtr with just cars

What company are you with for your Polo? Any mods? Yeah I was paying $1200 for a highly modified S13 silvia with Just Cars just didn't like their excess if you had to make a claim.

the polo is insured with gio in newcastle area for 800 a year, fairly happy with that as its the cheapest ive ever paid!
just cars are pretty good, they have been the only company that would touch me and the type of car that i wanted to insure a number of times. just dont crash and pay a wild excess

I'm 23, with a previous drving record for drag racing (in a mini - don't ask) and i'm insured with Shannons for $950
