I want to do this do i ask the muffler shop to remove the middle muffler or the rear? im after the dsg farts on upshifts.
Is it called a resonator delete?
It should give you farts if you remove the resonator. Yeah, tell them you want a resonator delete. I'm going to get mine done next week but no farts for me cause mine is a manual. Something to consider is paying a little more and asking them to make it so it can be reversed easier without welding if you wanted to go back to normal, they either add clamps or flanges to it.
Yes it is the front resonator delete, I got mine done about 2 months ago, cost me $80 in North Melb. The car sounds much better now, and up shifting is good.

Got a video? I'm interested in doing it also, but with the Mrs driving the car i want to make sure its woman friendly
I had mine done on the weekend and found it's only loud 3,000rpm++ and not much louder than stock below that. The wife has gave it the thumbs up and doesn't think it's loud.
Aesthetic for me... I wanted it slightly louder, if any performance gain, it's a plus. I did the turbo muffler delete and replaced the turbo intake hose at the same time. The turbo spool is definitely quicker.
