  • Need help finding Drivers Door

    Hey Guys,

Long story short - neighbours visitor hit my car (2010 Polo 6R) and hasn't returned to the house and neighbour won't hand over the details, excess for me $800, so probably not worth going through insurance.

My drivers door is damaged, I've been told by panel beaters they won't be able to pull the dent out.

Wondering if anyone knows a wreckers that will sell me the shell for a decent price and *fingers crossed* in the Ocean Blue Colour (LD5E) - Can be interstate if they ship.

Or any decent paint shops that will respray a different coloured shell

    located in Melbourne

    Cheers

        Try:
ASV Euro Car Parts Pty Ltd
Auto Wreckers & Recyclers - Campbellfield, VIC

12 Berwick Rd, Campbellfield VIC 3061
        Ph: 138800

I've bought a 6R guard from them a couple of years ago for a not bad price.

If you know which car it was wait for them to come back as they probably will. Then look for damage on it.

Since your car is 6+ years old the paint won't look like new, and the paint will fade on cars at different rates based on exposure to the sun, parking, wind, snow, dust, proximity to the ocean etc.
Good repairers will tell you that to avoid having your car look like you replaced the drivers door with a slightly different colour, it's best to blend the paint on the car, which usually involves re-spraying the front quarter and the rear door. I think it's unlikely you will get the level of spray you need to make it look good without it costing you more than the excess and any increases in premiums.
