  • Polo Gti 6r Oil Cooler

    Hey guys,

New to the forums, and in need of some advice. I took the polo down to wakefield over the weekend to see how it goes. The oil temp started to get upto 118 degrees. I'm looking into a better way on how manage this and just wanted to know if anyone is running an oil cooler or an idea on where to purchase one.

    Cheers,

That's not too bad. Worry when it's at 130°.

Maybe look into how you manage your sessions first, before spending money.

Look at things like not sitting behind other cars for too long, and if you can't pass them, move over to get clean air on the straights. For ever couple of quick laps, cruise for a lap or two, to stabilise temperatures. That sort of thing.

Agree, 118 Degrees is not too bad, as suggested managing the track time, number of consecutive laps and avoiding following too closely.
