Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

I really don't like the yellow looking halogens so i am looking for a whiter light, i have worked out the bulbs are H7 and i need 4 bulbs altogether I know the high beam bulb is 55w is the low beam light 55w as well with a different focal point? (i am not good with these things)

Philips make whiter halogens but you lose distance of beam - especially with diamond vision. Those things are just horrible. The led kits from china are about $500-$1000 for oem. Just go to autobahn and have a look.

Philips X-tremeVision would be my choice. They're 3700k, so they'll be a bit whiter (not pure white) and give you excellent light output for a H7 halogen.

Powerbulbs would be the best place to get them with their current 20% SPRING coupon code, they end up being $44.18 a pair posted.

Just be aware the parker lights are really yellow and if you change the headlights to something "whiter" they may stand out.

You mean wedge bulb? The H7s are 3700k which is hardly whiter. Haven't received mine yet but will take a photo before and after.

Cool I should be receiving mine on the 13-15th first thing I'm doing is the headlights. Might try HIDs with reflectors and adjusting the lights properly at first. As I have spare h7 HIDs from my previous cars. Do you know what size the DRLs are?

                  Are the parkers T10?

I'm still waiting for mine in the post but I ordered T10. But with 3700k you prob won't notice.

For replace the DRL down in the fog light I used

I've just purchased the 130% xtreme vision and the look T20 bulbs for the DRLs as much as I want the white look I want further and better visibility above it. Can't wait, I've purchased all these things and I don't even have the car yet lol. Can't wait till the 15th

Did you buy the bulbs from Blingwork? How long did shipping take (just bought some W21/5W DRL bulbs from them for my up!)

                          Alex.

Ok awesome. I opted for free shipping so I'd probably be expecting them before the end of the week. Thanks
