I really don't like the yellow looking halogens so i am looking for a whiter light, i have worked out the bulbs are H7 and i need 4 bulbs altogether I know the high beam bulb is 55w is the low beam light 55w as well with a different focal point? (i am not good with these things)...

I've got a Passat B6 that has stock 55w OEM Halogen globes for high and low beam.
Anyone know whether I should be selecting a 35w or 55w HID kit to upgrade?

Does 55w OEM = 35w HID ?

Done a Google but cant find anything helpful..
