  • Creaking froom door trim area- how to remove?

    Hi everyone,
I am getting a really annoying creaking noise from my RH door trim, not sure whether it's front or back. Creaks at low speeds or over bumps. Pressing the trim along the middle edges makes it creak as well, so that could well be the source of the creaks.
Does anyone know how to remove the door trim? I am hoping to fix the creaking somehow once I know how the trim comes off the door

The gummi Pfledge worked for me. Purchased it a long time ago from Amazon US.

Gee that was a long time ago. Even forgot the tubing was in there! Never heard a squeak from the doors since

+100 for the tips. Bought 4 mm irrigation low density rigid tubing from Bunnings today...price has gone up it's now $5.40 for 10 m LOL instead of 25m. Anyway, all the creaks have gone!!! Woo Hoo! I also rubbed, sprayed drenched all rubber seals with WD-40 and also squirted some between the trim and door.
Took car for a drive and no squeaks....
Had a small creak where the pod housing contacts the perspex of the speedo dials but a bit of cardboard fixed it.
Now I only have a very occassional creak from the rear LH side but i think it door/body flex over bumps.

At least now, I can enjoy my driving in the GTi in peace and quiet instead of being anxious over when the next creak is going to annoy me
