Oil leak polo gti 2012

Hi everyone

I've just noticed some oil on the garage floor and did a bit of investigating and found that there was about a cup of oil sitting on my drip tray. I couldn't locate the exact place it was coming from due to the awkward structure and layout of the engine.

I checked the dip stick and it was about 2mm above the minimum level so maybe about 500ml of oil left in the car... what worries me is that the oil light hasnt come on and my temp gage has been normal.

So i was wondering if anyone had any idea where the oil leak could be coming from and why my oil light hasnt come on yet?

It is booked in on monday to see VW but am interested to hear if others have had same issues.

Car has only done approx 45000km

Even if your dipstick reads minimum, the engine still has a good 3-4L left in it.
