polo 1.2 2011 air con controls

Hi there,

I had removed the aircon controls when installing a new headunit. I reassembled them but they seem to grind a bit ( temperature and area control). I dont understand what I did wrong considering there is only one way to reattach them. Any insight on this problem? Any help would really be appreciated
