Just had my first 15k service today at VW rockdale. Cost was $420 for oil and filter and full check up, very steep for a minor service but I guess thats the premium you pay for the dealership.
So for those who might not have noticed with the DSG, again it is ****.
On the way to the dealer I heard a noise which sounded like a spring being flicked (make sense?) Happend at about 2300 rpm range in 3rd gear at normal cruising/acceleration. Anyway turns the DSG clutch is ruined and they will be replacing it with a new clutch pack which VW released to hopefully address all these issues.
Yes I also had jolts and clunks from 2nd to 3rd, so fingers crossed it doesnt happen to you aswell.
Have spoken to Thomson Ford today and will be looking at the FOCUS RS when it ships
Had something similar happen to me on my way to work this morning. Suddenly won't shift from 2nd to 3rd smoothly, and on the way back from work it would almost try to skip 3rd somehow (D2 ---> D ---> D4). Also shifting weirdly, taking it to the dealer tomorrow but we probably all know what the issue is already.

Im looking at an ECU tune for my manual 6c. I am considering APR once distribution is sorted out but am also looking at other possibilities.
I was wondering if anyone can give me info/impressions on expected gains in terms of 0 -100 or just how it feels everyday.
            Cheers

I've got a CPI stage 1 on my manual 6C, haven't tested 0-100 but everyday feel is incredible, pulls way harder and smoother.

I got it on sale but I think it's in the vicinity of $1400 or so, I know it's less than APR but speak to your local CPI dealer.

I gave CPI a call. $1400 is the rough price. The guy I spoke to was pretty cool and more than ready to help with info and possible test drives of polo's they have worked on.

$1200 for Harding performance tune. Lots of fun. Would recommend.

St xta and damper delete kit on route. Street to track looked after me, second time I've used them and prices are great.

Probablywill go custom exhaust, rather have 3 inch if I do a turbo swap.

Currently still looking into wheels, lsd and is20/38 swap

The ST coilovers look really good, what did they Sting you? Also what's this damper delete kit?

My16 onwards has active suspension so you can't put coilovers in without throwing faults codes. Kw delete kit stops all that.

The st xta cost me roughly $2100 delivered, delete kit was $550.

Just wondering on the my16 does the sound actuator kick in when you change the dsg to sport mode or only when you actually hit the button on the dash.
