Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

I was hoping everyone with a 6C could post what they have done or found available for this model

      for example;

It definitely is, old mate that started this thread has it done. Ring your nearest APR dealer.

              Awesome.
Really keen to hear the Supersprint, almost purchased it last year as it is so cheap. But when I heard the Milteck had the full system I held off.

If I go full TBE the DP will be custom. Considered Milltek but decided against it.

                  Hey Guys,
Just had my first 15k service today at VW rockdale. Cost was $420 for oil and filter and full check up, very steep for a minor service but I guess thats the premium you pay for the dealership.
So for those who might not have noticed with the DSG, again it is ****.
On the way to the dealer I heard a noise which sounded like a spring being flicked (make sense?) Happend at about 2300 rpm range in 3rd gear at normal cruising/acceleration. Anyway turns the DSG clutch is ruined and they will be replacing it with a new clutch pack which VW released to hopefully address all these issues.
Yes I also had jolts and clunks from 2nd to 3rd, so fingers crossed it doesnt happen to you aswell.
Have spoken to Thomson Ford today and will be looking at the FOCUS RS when it ships

Very sorry to hear this mate, I'm in the market for the new facelift/1.8 GTI polo, but this really turns me off buying VW.
I've read so many stories of the DSG in my13 or before, replacing clutch packs in the thousands, but 15k and the transmission needs major repairs? not good.

Really wanted a auto, so might hold off and get a base model wrx cvt, I know completely different cars/transmissions but still I plan to keep this car for at least 10 years.

It's a shame, I do love the polo gti!!

It's really unfortunate to be honest, I had mods booked in for the end of the week including a tune, frount mount and turbo back exhaust but after this issue there's no way I would trust the dsg with any extra power if it can't even handle its stock power output.

I actually really enjoy the car but it looks as there is some major quality control at VW so buyers beware!

Manual or nothing I feel is the way to go, the fact that the DSG has been so aggressively down tuned rung alarm bells straight away for me so I bought the manual.

My god I love it, such a great car!

Has anyone fitted a boost gauge?
Looking for a factory fitted looking setup.

I haven't seen gauge pods anywhere for 6Rs, let me know if you find one
